Hello all,
Matt here with a few updates from the Downseed camp. Here goes.
-Tour update-
Big show coming up on the 27th of this month. We're playing the machine shop for another indie grace show with a bunch of good bands, including our boys from Crackjaw. We played at dirtfest with them, but didn't get to really hang out because it was so big.
Anyways, we're stoked to do this show and we have more to come. June 8th at the Hamilton st pub in Saginaw, Michigan. Also, our friend Vince from the green day tribute band "Saint Jimmy" is going to be helping us put together a mini tour in Chicago at the end of summer with dates TBA. We're really looking forward to this, and we hope to see some Chicago fans out there.
-Finance update-
We're getting our finances in order to get some merchandise, and to work on our three song EP that's due out at the end of the summer also.
We're going to put a donate link/page up on our www.downseed.com site when it's finished that will get you free stuff if you donate thru PayPal on there. It's basically going to be like our own kickstarter on our site.
In addition to that, we're going to be doing an actual kickstarter page, so we can get some help from people that don't know about us yet, and it'll also help with getting our name around. We're donating a percentage of the donations to a notable charity of our choice, probably the American cancer society.
-Recent updates-
Friday Nights show was an experience, but a big thanks to everyday ghost for having us out to run thru the set. Go pick up their cd ASAP.
-Promo update-
BTW. We need you all to spread the word about Downseed to everyone that you know if you want us to succeed. This means reporting links and updates like these, shows, and sendings links to hookups that you may know of that we could benefit from (merch deals, cd pressing, etc)..That will help spread the seed!!!

-Gear update-
Youngblood got a new keyboard two days ago, and it's a new step in our music. Now we don't have to rely on a computer anymore that may crash running the controller. This is a Roland fantom XA, and it's a keyboard and sampler all in one.
Figured out my amp situation as well, and that I need a cabinet instead of new tubes. I played Aaron's from Everyday Ghost on friday and my head sounded Great. $350 should get me a decent one from guitar center used. :) then my rig will be complete. Who would have thought that being a musician cost money. If anyone has a matching peavey XXX cabinet for sale or knows one, contact the email included in this update. Thanks.

Downseed Updates 4/4/2012
Hey guys, it's matt here. Just wanted to give everyone a shout to tell them what's been going on in the Downseed camp.
We're writing like crazy, and have like 4 new songs in the mix that we're going to be premiering at the show on the 13th of April for Everyday Ghosts CD release party at Sevin O'Brien's in Frankenmuth, Mi.
We're also reworking our set to include the new songs, in addition to the others. We have around 11 songs which is around 45 min solid now! :)
Merchandise is coming soon hopefully, we're just working on the designs for it all. We are openly accepting submissions from any artist that wants to contribute to our designs. Send us a message on here, or on my personal page and we'll get it submitted. These submissions will be unpaid, but we will give you recognition on every piece of art you donate to our cause once we get the rights to it from you to use freely.
We're going to be releasing a 3 song EP later this summer which will also include our first single "Empire of Lies" and two others TBA.
More shows coming up soon at the Machine Shop in Flint, mi and some at the Hamilton St. Pub in Saginaw on the horizon TBD.
Finally, we've got 22 awesome pictures from Ed Strange that he took of us at The Machine Shop a month ago or so. They are awesome pics, and here's the link to them. They will be featured as some of the main pics on our Website.

The Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and other accounts are being revamped and redirected to our website when it's finished so you can just tune in there for all the up to date info on Downseed.
